eBay Live seller fees explained (2026)
On eBay Live in the US, sellers pay a commission of 6% on the total sale, which includes shipping and sales tax, capped at $100 per item. Payment processing is 2.9% plus $0.30 per order. These numbers come from the same fee schedule our app uses (schedule 2026-11, effective 2026-11-01).
1. Commission. 6% of the total: item price plus buyer-paid shipping plus sales tax. The commission on a single item is capped at $100.
2. Payment processing. 2.9% of the total plus $0.30 per order.
eBay may show these to sellers as one combined fee. We list them separately so you can see where the money goes.
Small-item promo. Through 2026-12-31, items priced $10 or less pay a $0.10 per-order fee instead of $0.30. Check eBay's seller pricing page for the current status, because promos end.
A single high-priced card has a commission that stops growing once it reaches $100.

Whatnot's commission covers the item price only. eBay Live's commission covers item, shipping and tax. For small sales the totals are close. For high-priced items the eBay cap can make eBay Live cheaper. Run both in the fee calculator with your real prices instead of guessing. See Whatnot seller fees explained too.
