Shipping cards safely and fast
Ship fast by sorting cards by buyer as they come out, and ship safely by giving each card a sleeve, a rigid holder and a mailer that does not bend. A routine you repeat every time is what keeps both speed and quality.
Do it during the show.
- Keep a pile for each buyer, or a labeled tray per spot.
- Place each card in the right pile as it comes out.
- Read the buyer name and the card out loud, and log it as you go.
- Put hits aside in a separate tray so they get extra care.
Breaker OS builds a shipping list that groups every card by buyer, with base-card rules applied, so you can pack straight from it.
- Base cards: penny sleeves, then a stack held between two pieces of cardboard, or a team bag. Keep them from sliding.
- Hits: penny sleeve, then a toploader or a magnetic holder. Tape the top of the toploader, so the card cannot slip out.
- Valuable cards and slabs: extra padding in a small box. Slabs crack, so wrap them well.
- Bubble mailers work for sleeved and toploaded cards of moderate value. Add a piece of cardboard on each side.
- Boxes are safer for expensive cards. They cost more to ship, so price this into your shipping charge.
- Never ship in a plain envelope. Bent corners are the most common complaint.
It gives buyers tracking in the app and records the shipment against the order. Keep a photo of each package before you seal it, especially for valuable cards.
Many sellers pack the same night or the next day. If something delays you, tell buyers.
Check your own photos. Platforms have claims processes, and carrier insurance may apply for high-value shipments. See Handling buyer disputes and claims.
