Handling buyer disputes and claims

Last updated 2026-11-04 · 3 min read

When a buyer raises a problem, respond quickly and politely, collect your records, and follow the platform's claims process. The seller with the clearest saved record usually has the easiest conversation.

Many are honest mistakes on one side or the other.

  1. Stay calm and reply fast. A short, polite reply today is better than a perfect one next week.
  2. Ask for details. Which break, which spot, which card, which time.
  3. Look at your own records. Check the show replay, your notes and the shipping record.
  4. Fix what is yours to fix. If you made a mistake, say so, and correct it.

  • The spot list from before the break, saved with a time.
  • The randomizer result, saved from the platform's tool.
  • A log of each hit and the buyer it went to, with the time.
  • Photos of the package and the tracking number.
  • Your messages with the buyer.

Breaker OS saves the first three automatically and gives buyers a link to check them, which often ends a disagreement before it becomes a claim. If you correct a mistake, the correction appears in the history with its reason, so nothing looks hidden.

Provide your records, clearly and in order. Do not argue in public. The platform decides claims. Breaker OS does not.

  • Do not delete or edit records. If a record is wrong, add a correction. A changed record is worse than a wrong one.
  • Do not accuse the buyer. State facts and show records.
  • Do not ignore messages. Silence makes everything worse.
  • Do not promise outcomes you do not control.

  • Write clear listings that say what a spot includes.
  • Show the spot list before you open.
  • Run the platform's randomizer on screen, and save the result.
  • Read out each hit and log it as it happens.
  • Ship on time and share tracking.
